Start Getting Noticed by Others

Sick of being the outcast, the nobody, the misfit? Are you tired of the constant feeling that you aren’t making a difference? Do you often worry about why nobody notices you? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, keep reading.

Nobody likes feeling alone and feeling like nobody cares about them. You have the power to become that person who feels like they make a difference and that people are noticing them. You can become someone who is confident in themselves and in others. The key is believing. Believe that you can make a difference. Believe you have what it takes to do something worthy of other people’s attention. But what would you do? Stop thinking about it so hard, and turn your focus onto others. Notice others and they will start noticing you. These few simple tips will help you to reach your goals.

It is ok to be different. Stop trying to fit the mold.

It is quite okay to be different. Be yourself. Stop trying to be that girl or guy in the magazine you saw last week, or that actress or actor you saw on TV. You are special in your own way. Be your BEST self. People are attracted to people that make a difference, not people that follow the crowd.

“Here’s To The Crazy Ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world – are the ones who do!”

— Steve Jobs

Adopt great qualities to live by

People notice people who they can depend on, people who are nice to them, people who go out of their way to help those in need. Do you honestly think people will notice you if you are just concerned about yourself? It is only when you open your mouth and do something for others that the real magic happens.

Just think, how do you feel when someone stops what they are doing to help you? It feels great, like “Oh wow, they really care!” and you probably want to be around them more. So go out of your way to do something for other people. I promise you, they will start to notice. When you start to make a positive difference in others lives, is when you start to make a positive difference in your own.

Don’t Brag About Yourself, Brag About Others

If you want other’s to notice you, don’t brag, boast, or even hint at what you have done. Let them figure it out on their own, and it will mean that much more. People don’t notice others who bring attention to themselves, but rather people who bring attention to others. If you do this, they will be much more inclined to ask about your accomplishments and it will feel ten times better coming from their mouth.

Open your mouth!

It’s okay to be quiet, but as sad as it is, people don’t really notice you when you are. I know how it is because I have been there many times before, but in my experience I have learned that people won’t think twice about what you say or how you say it. What truly matters is if you said it at all. Just believe in yourself and don’t think about it.

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.”

— Norman Vincent Peale

Now, go out there and believe in yourself, open your mouth and be that person that others want to be. You can do whatever you set your mind to. Just don’t try to be the “popular kid in school.” This isn’t a competition. You will win peoples attention by being the best you can be, not by sacrificing your values for “popularity.” People will start to notice you, whether you know it or not.
