3 Ways to Start Living the Life You Want
Have you ever noticed the way people talk about their lives and the things they want to accomplish? “Some day I’ll have time to paint.” “I’ll have a better job one day.” People are referring to the life they want to live as if it’s in the distant future instead of the tangible present. So, let’s fix that. Here are three steps to help you live the life you want.
1. Write down the necessary steps you’ll need to take to make your goal a reality.
Make a practical list of things you can do that will bring you closer to living the life you want. You can start with something as simple as researching the cost of that trip you’ve always talked about taking. Get an idea of how much money you will need to save each month and make small budget cuts where you can to achieve that goal.
2. Make a plan.
Pull out your calendar and set aside a day you can contribute to accomplishing your goals. Jump online and look up the schedule for those dance lessons you’ve always said you would take. Write it in your planner and make it your priority for the day.
3. Press on.
Life will throw you curve balls. You could have great energy, be on your way to apply for your dream job, and that’s right… your car doesn’t start. We’ve all fallen off track before, the important thing is that we keep trying. When life hurls a storm at you, button up your jacket and press on.
